Researcher

Stella Diakou holds a Ph.D in Archaeology from the Department of Classical Studies and Near Eastern Archaeology at Bryn Mawr College (USA). During her studies and after her graduation she has participated in grant writing and has received national and international grants to work on archaeological projects in the US, Cyprus, Ireland, and Italy. She has extensive experience in archaeological fieldwork, both as an excavator and an instructor, as well as a project manager. Her research interests vary from landscape archaeology to the archaeology of contested regions, the connections that people create with their past, digitization of cultural heritage, democratization of scientific knowledge and the role and impact of culture on society. Following a career in academia and research, she has now joined T6 Ecosystems as a researcher and works on impact assessment in projects in the cultural and creative sector.
